HavsSjal (English)

I wanted to create a spring/summer shawl that would take just a single skein of yarn. I also wanted to make something connected to the sea and I had been playing with a stitch pattern that looks like sea shells. Add it all up and you get the HavsSjal, the marine shawl.
 
Size 
Single size, 32 cm deep and 129 cm length. See Schematics on page 9 for more details.
Yarn 
Alltkemi Delicatess, 100% SW Fine Merino (400m/100g) 
1 skein. The sample was knitted with the color Madder+Iron
Yardage 
The shawl weights 96 g and uses a total of 384 m.
Gauge 
24 sts & 38 rows = 4”/10 cm Measured over stockinette stitch flat, after blocking.
Suggested Needles 
Main Fabric: US 4/3.5 mm – 32”/80 cm circular 
Since it is a shawl, the gauge is not so important for the final piece but be aware that it will influence the amount of yarn you will need and the final size of the shawl.
